Has anyone that owns a 2011-2012 V6 put a shaker hood/scoop on it? I haven't been able to find a kit to use on the 3.7....plenty for the 5.0 however. I'm guessing I'll have to use a shaker for the 5.0 and make my own mounting brackets. I spoke with someone at Classic Design Concepts three or four years ago about doing a shaker for the 2011-2012 3.7 and was told they had no plans to do so. I guess they couldn't figure out how to mount the shaker.

To my knowledge they only make them for the 5.0. Never seen anything else. You would have to modify it to fit the V6.

I thought the issue was the steep angle of the 3.7? If I'm not mistaken no company was willing to invest in the R&D required to put a twin screw supercharger on top of a v6 with 60 degree offset
(Intake runners are an odd length and the intake of narrow and deep making it difficult to fit a twin screw on)
Ironically I've read the 60degree offset is actually what makes the 3.7 powerful and reliable since it allows for better offset of cylinder rotation.
I know it's possible to put a twin screw on but it'd be very difficult.
But if you wanted to just use the scoop as an alternate v the current scoop from the bumper to the intake box I don't see why not, it doesn't have any real practicality, but it'd look awesome and be functional.
You'd probably need some serious plastic working abilities though.
If you ever do end up getting someone to make one let me know thatd be sweet. And it'd piss off my buddy who has a real shaker haha

Now if you convinced a company to make a twin screw to replace the intake manifold and put butterfly valves on top with a filter between the valves and the sc let me know as well
Thought about it and thatd be pretty sweet to have a twin screw and big scoop with valves up top like a true muscle car sticking out the hood.
And once again that would probably anger a lot of people since its a v6, but then again that's one of the best parts haha.
If you convince a company to do that too let me know haha

I have no interest in supercharging my 3.7....I had a 1989 Thunderbird SC back in the day. I only want the shaker scoop because I think it's trick. I had a '69 Mach I, 428 with shaker back in the '70's and I put a shaker on a '67 Fairlane Ranchero with 428 CJ. It looked good to me. I don't care if the shaker increases power with the cooler air charge....I just think it looks great and should go along with the '69 Boss 302 C stripes I put on mine. I think it'll just take some fabricating of mounts.

I think that's practical but Ya it'd be fabricating the mount I would just use the bolts for the intake to hold it down, tricky part is actually making the tubing of plastic. I was assuming you meant top mounted SC with a shaker on that, I think I've seen what you're referring to before but not on our model
