Hey welcome to V6stangs. No you will not notice any loss in torque. I am not sure why that continues to spread on the forums but it is just a myth. Dynomax Turbos are sweet sounding That is what Roush use to use. Vipers, Prowlers iuse that muffler.
Flowmaster buzz and drone real bad at highway speeds I had them and took them off.
Unless you are going to do engine mods the H-pipe is not required but if you desire a H pipe nothing is stopping you.

Hey I understand I am 43 and been car modding for over 20 years mostly Camaro's but I jumped ship and decided to get into mustangs. No you wont see any of the problems you had with the PT Cruiser. As for the Flows they droned so bad at Highways speeds about 2000 rpm up, then above 3000 rpm they would have a bad ricey buzz. I had the muffler shop take them off after 3 days and I had them install Dynomax Ultraflows on my car.

And if your still wanting something like a Flowmaster that won't drone,or buzz, get Mac Flowpaths. Theres also Warlocks, ive heard are nice, you can uncap them when you want it loud, or just leave the caps in, I haven't heard any clips of those though. but of all the mufflers Flowpaths and Dynomax are the best sounding IMO
Did you read his post!!! This is for his car and his wife will be driving it. He is 47 he does not want to wake the dead, just give it a nice sound that will be acceptable for him and his wife. You have to remember people over 30 tend to want a nice sound but not be to obnoxious!!!!

I had a few Bikes I was a Suzuki fan. I had a Katana 1100 and a GSXR 1100 before I had kids and they were fast, my fastest car was a 1978 Z-28 with 600 RWHP and 750hp with a 150 shot of Nitrous. That car looked bone stock including the stock Z-29 rims. The only visible mods on the exterior were traction bars and the car was lowered.
Oh I also made the Hood scoop functional.

Actually my wife doesn't drive it much. She prefers her new M3. I get the V6 Mustang (saved it from being a rental car), she gets the 2003 M3. You have to keep mama happy. I try to balance it out with all my motorcycles. The formula is: 2004 V6 Mustang + 2003 ZX6RR + 2000 TL1000R + 1999 R6 + 2002 1600 Roadstar = 2003 M3. I have more toys but her car costs about the same as all my stuff together. Her M3 is pretty hot though. I think 60 comes in 4.9 seconds. I pick on pimple faced kids in ratted out civics with it.

How do you like the TL 1000R I here it is a real mountain runner up here in the smokey Mountains

I like picking on pimple faces kids in my stang. They are always trying to picking on me. I had one come up after I embarrassed him and said " Nobody mods V6 mustangs"" HAHAHHAHHAHAHA
