Has anyone tried to replace their knob and/or boot on their '05? I got the chrome knob from AM and I can't seem to detach the knob from the boot. Anyone had any luck or suggestions? I took the whole boot off but I can't separate the darn knob! LOL

amustangrocksleather.com sells shift boots so maybe check their instructions. Havent done mine yet.

I actually figured it out. The knob was stuck on the boot. It's just like elastic around the knob so I pried the leather off. Wala! Easy as a light bulb.

Just got a new boot from some place in the UK. Nice leather and green stitching. I like it but was a pain to take off and put on LOL
