What does this option on an SCT X3 tuner do?? It is set at 0% and can in both negative and positive directions. It can be set by shift press 1-2 , shift press 2-3 and shift press 3-4

I beleave your refering to the shift presure feature for automatic cars. The SCT tuner can harden or soften shifts on an automatic stang and is one of the largest performance benifits for a tuner on an auto stang.

Ok I have an automatic stang, and I set the shift press to 25% and It seemed to me like the firmness in my shift went away totally. I set it back to 0% and the firmness came back

I guess it worked.. Your probly still out beating your stang enjoying the hard shifts, tires cherping and lurching you forward everytime you shift at full throttle and wishing you had 20 gears to go through.. lol

Won't it put stress on the tranny

Yes it will add some stress but the trans can take it. The added pressure is not enough to even blink at when you compair it to adding 25 hp. So in short the abuse is to a minimal.

Dont worry your trans will not randomly up and die on you because of it.

Be weary of wether or not it can take the so called "beating" and it can take it, so no worries..

Setting it to negative seemed to make the firmness go completely away so ill just keep it at 0

I would talk to who ever you bought your tuner from about that one, you should be able to make your shifts harder.

I bought it from AM and Bama tuned it, I guess I should cal them up
