Has anyone removed a smog pump and dynod the car to see what gains you get? I still have the complete kit on my car if the gains are worth it I'll remove it, along with my ac. I think I would just get a shorter belt rather than buying the deletes. Unless I'm looking at 20 or so horse I think it's a waste of time.

You'll see a little bit of a gain since it's once less thing the engine has to drive. But I do not suggest getting a short belt. It puts too much tension on the alternator and can shred a belt in no time. I had a few belts let loose when I had a short belt and the belt would start disintegrating in a dust form all over the alternator. I'd highly suggest getting a billet idler pulley to replace it which basically takes no power to spin and it let's you use a stock belt again.

Gains will be 5hp or less. That being said, I do have by smog and ac deleted. +1 on the idlers. The smaller belt trick did the same thing to me.
