Hello all i'm fairly new to this community, I just wanted to get some views and opinions on my ride since im itching for the spring to come around. I live in Canada, Ontario, Toronto (Gta). So I bought this 1995 Gt off of a "buddy" for a great "deal" 2.5 years ago for 5500$CDN and the car had lots of mods apparently, so me not knowing alot about mustangs I trusted and bought it. The car had 98000km on the odom and he told me the car has: Full Mac prochamber exhaust including headers, edelbrock upper and lower intake manifold, 70mm edelbrock throttle body, b303 cam, .373s in the rear, a t56 tranny and that it just needed a bit of tlc and how him and his buddy were prepping it for a stock cobra supercharger. He also told me "the car had a swapped cobra harness" told me it was regarding his future plans for his supercharger. I thought it was weird.

So i got the car drove it, started overheating to a boil when idling at a stop and the electric fan was not coming on. Had to fix that with just a hard wired switch.

After driving car for a season I noticed how weak the power was getting then my starter solenoid went and that was it for a season.

Next year i put in full msd ignition including pro billet dizzy, msd 6al2 and a msd coil. Put a new TPS in, cleaned the IAC, full tune up, put a full cold air intake Bbk, put a AEM air/fuel gauge in , put a b&m line lock in and a hurst pistol grip shifter.
After playing with the timing at the shop with some buddy mechanics who are chevy dudes and discovering some exhaust leaks at the headers , we got it running fairly half decent in their opinions and i agree its not bad but id like alot more. Those guys say I should save for some edelbrock upper end power kits and its all bolt on..
So i bought some header gaskets off summit and a bbk fuel reg so far for this year.
Looking for opinions on what i should do with the car.
Here are some pics of it. Thanks, kyle.

Sounds like a money pit,IMO. (just being honest) I would sell it and find a better platform to start from.

Now that you've got it running ok, take it in for a custom Dyno tune including being prepared to fix or replace anything they find that's not quite right. Owning a heavily modded car like this costs cash, it's the cost if doing business.
94-95 ECU's are finicky especially when new H/C/I's are involved. In your shoes I'd def get the current combo running right, with some professional Mustang specialist help, and a solid Dyno tune. Then plan out your modding path. Personally after having it sorted out I'd look into a Centrifugal super charger if you are still wanting more power.

If you are not interested in spending some $ cash to get it sorted out then parting it out would be best to recoup some $$.

Personally with what you already have invested time/money wise I'd seriously look into having it tuned professionally before giving up.. :good:

Sounds like you took it pretty far, sounds like a decent setup. If its a convertible, you're going to want full length subframe braces welded in. Maybe a shock tower brace in the rear a strut brace in the front.

Yah forgot to add that there seems to be aftermarket frame supports

Agreed.. Like I said heavily modded cars cost $ to get just right.. Once right not to hard to maintain :)
I'm in the process of that right now. Cracked my lower intake replacing sending unit... But I'm really learning to do everything right. starting to get more meticulous. Good luck with the build I got a white vert too

A basic get go set up is heads cams and intake. Your set in that aspect I own two 5.0 Verts you own what is known in the mustang world as a red headed step child it's not quite a fox even though the same engine and not quite an sn95 because of the engine most 5.0 parts are made from 79-93 or 87-93 94&95 have their own setups keep that in mind. Verts are heavier but if your not competing on the track I wouldn't worry about it. It looks like you have a bbk intake I would get rid of that messes up airflow sensors all day. Find yourself a k&n it's almost impossible for the 94&95 but try and find one. American muscle doesn't offer one and I'm upset about that. Check eBay. Other then that great looking car I wouldn't even add anything to it besides a k&n supercharges are great if you need the power if you don't need the power keep it as is great car would love to hear it idle.

Just looked at that high rise manifold I think that manifold is set up for about 500 horsepower I would think your making that but look into that if you think your losing power

Definately not making 500 hp yet, but yah saving for new heads and a bigger cam, port and polish and a good tune should put that 6spd t56 to some real use

It sounds like your on the right track. You've replaced many of the things that need to be replaced on a car of that age. I don't agree with it being a money pit considering you could just drive it the way it is. New heads and a proper tune are definitely in your future if you want more power though. Good luck!

Post some pics of the front of the heads if you can.. It should be noticeable if they are not stock and may have engraving in them.

I looked into that manifold looks like its set up correctly with the 70mm and it's not for use with 500 hp. But it did say for the 94&95 would require braces. Seems like the cars done right IMO
