So lately I’ve been thinking about spark plug tools. With some of the newer thin-wire electrodes, it’s easier to damage them, and with my neuropathy & arthritis, I thought a more precise method (rather than tapping, then prying open) would be kind of neat. Plus, I just want to buy a new tool or two.

They’re not cheap (the two that I prefer), but there are some that are similar, that are actually Dirt-Cheap. These are the 2 favorites below …

K-Motor Spark Plug Gap Tool 1 Set with Feeler Gauge (M14 x 1.5 Thread) 14mm

That 2nd one looks pretty neat. I've always used feelers or the disc to verify and needlenose one the sides of the arm to adjust the gap

I’ve used everything, it’s really not a giant deal. I just want a cool new tool 🤣 That said, accuracy can be pretty important when you start adding boost.

I would grind that knurled knob so i could fit a wrench over it. Longer lever, more precise and all that. I like the tools though. Alot better than using a tackhammer on top of a vice
🤣🤣🤣

The thing about the 1st one is, it‘s stainless steel. I like that over the aluminum one. I’ll probably buy both.

For the top one, does the plug screw into the frame?

Yes it does. This would be my Mustang glovebox gapper 🤣

Currently I carry a wire gauge, flat feelers, and a Gerber multi-tool.

Yes, but my ball-peen & my dead-blow are in the trunk along with other tools.
