yes, and a cobra is STILL a mustang
and the Evo is STILL a lancer
and an SS/WS6 is STILL a camaro/firebird
and an STi is STILL a WRX
and a 911 GT3 is STILL a 911

there are always updated models of everything. so what if it sits on a neon platform. it will still out run you anyday. you may not like the looks (which is fine) but for god's sake, stop using that arguement "its still a neon"

but the thing is...the neon, no matter how you look at it, is a low budget, not really high quality car, im not trash talking em, id love a 98ish Neon because i know what can be done to them, but a Neon is a car thats regularly laughed at

and also, the STi is STILL a WRX which is STILL an Impreza

lol i just had a run in with a srt4 tonight. he cam up from behind me in 2nd and hit his bov right by my window. i looked and laughted, dropped into 2nd and hit it hard, tires broke loose and as i stopped at about 60, i could see his "oh" face in my mirrors. suffice it to say, if he actually wanted to run me, id lose. they do run 14.3 stock, compared to my 15.3. me=teh own. by a neon.

and the stock v6 mustang is a high quality built car? i dont think so. don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to start a flame war or anything, but the mustang is built on a horrible platform. The suspension sucks. They are so mass produced that many of them just blow ass, etc, etc.

and what are you trying to say about the WRX still being an Imprezza. Are you saying the Imprezza platform sucks?

i didnt say the v6 stang was great now did i? at least the stang has a reputation or a heratige, and has an aggressive look, most people describe a neon as a girls car, or the "i cant afford anything better" car, personally, i dont hear much trash talk about V6 stangs other than from V8 stang guys

where did you get the Imprezza comment? i was just adding a little info to your comment, since the WRX is still an Imprezza, just as you were saying about every other example

I just thought you were trying to say something that the imprezza is a lower quality car than the newer wrx's

:) be careful i might just have to take this "neon" over there and smack u around a bit;) .

lol holy crap hes back.

nothing, ive just been working and such. decided to focus on bettering the stock looks for now before i start to build towards 12's. that includes 18" falken Torque 5 rims, projector heads, taking out the useless back seat for a custom sub enclosure, and doing my 60k maintenance. she ran a 15.3 stock, and i have since put on the 3"catback, intake and Greddy type-S BOV. i like it where its at now, its faster than 95% of the cars out there, only cars ive lost to were a b18 hatch on spray, 96 cobra with spray, and a 300zx. pretty good, seeing as ive won every other race and ive raced her prolly 40 times now. mostly the ricers around here try to race but end up 10 cars back.

looks like youre doing good with the modding. you should be well into 13's by now, youve also prolly learnt that even with those mods dont mean **** if you cant drive it right.

yo monkey is still here with his Evo, we have another guy too thats boost happy, Tbird232Ci, and me. its like the mustang-forums boosters club.

ya i talk to brandon so no miss communication there. Once i get my map clamp and stage 1. I could borrow my buddies DR's and pull high 12's like he did but thats not an issue for me right now. Im still at 4k miles so clutch and tranny r just gettin to where i like it. Itl light em up all thru first and second if i let it but with fwd and all its tq ive turned more into a top end guy.
