I had a 12 in subwoofer off brand but great sub. It was a quantum audio 12" it was 1500 watts max if I remember rite . Hit good and sounded great it was powered by a Memphis 1000w mono. Block amp . Well a buddy called me the other day and told me he had a fosgate p3 15" sub. 600 watts rms and 1000w max with ported box only a month old for 80 bucks .
Couldn't pass the deal .
Well now my sub is so loud I either have no bass at all or shaking the whole car . It's insane .
It's cool but dang I like good sounding music not teeth chattering bass .
Thought I'd post this bc I know some people like that loud bass and some like good sounding music .
If you like to shake the car next to you I recommend the 15 in p3
If not stick with a 12 for good sounding music .
