Hello boys and you creepy dude in the back. :D

I know y'all have discussed this somewhere... I am about to go insane. Real talk.

MyKey is stupid. And. So am I for not being able to disengage it. Yes.... I accidentally programmed the admin key and MyKey while flipping through the settings. I have tried everything. I can't get it off.

Disconnecting battery just effed up my stations.
My key IS the admin key. But. Don't tell the car that.
There is no menu displayed when you hit reset.
Nothing happens when I hold reset down for extended period of time.
I asked ford if they could fix it...service guy said .no??!!

From the owner's manual. Keep trying, you're probably just missing it.

CLEARING ALL MYKEYS
Note: All programmed MyKeys can be cleared within the same key cycle
in which a MyKey was created, otherwise an admin key is required to
clear the keys.
To clear all MyKeys (which removes all restrictions and returns them to
admin key status), use the information display controls to do the
following:
For Type 1 information display settings
1. Press SETUP until PRESS RESET TO CLEAR MYKEY is displayed.
2. Press and release the RESET button. HOLD RESET TO CONFIRM
CLEAR is displayed.
3. Press and hold the RESET button for two seconds until ALL
MYKEYS CLEARED is displayed.
For Type 2 information display settings
1. Access the main menu and select Settings, then MyKey.
2. Scroll to Clear All and press the OK button.
3. Hold the OK button until ALL MYKEYS CLEARED is displayed.

.
My Key isn't the admin key - so just grab your other key, which will be an admin key, and follow the instructions posted. When you programmed the key you were using to be My Key, it ceased being an admin key.

Of course, if the above instructions don't work, then there's a problem with the main computer - take it to a dealership and have them verify that the sync operation between the keys and the car isn't happening.

Yeah, I did this by accident when I was messing around in with my car during my lunch break last week.

Just get your other key and go to the MyKey settings. You can deactivate it.

Mykey is lame. No one is ever driving my car for it to be needed lol.

Would be a whole lot cooler if you could program a key that automatically turns of advancetrac. Thats what i wanna see lol

They have that. Track Key. I think it's for select year GTs and Boss 302s though.

Lol, reading through this. It took me a bit to figure out it's a feature on the new stangs. Derp! Anyway, wish Ford would stop fiddling with these type of features and overhaul Sync.

lol.....and if you think about it My Key is good as it can be used to program a Valet key. Dunno if any of you go places that have valet but it's an idea.
Valet or shops where they really don't need to do anything but move it in/out of a bay.

I only go to reputable shops, but I still worry about it lol

I never go places like that and no one drives my Stangs beside my wife and she knows what she's doing so I'm only worried when the dealer is doing work.

My settings suck. I have 2011 Ford Flex. I accidentally programmed this damn mykey flipping through set up reset options somehow. There is not a clear mykey option for me. I get to where it says 1 admin mykey programmed and try to hold reset but nothing. The steering wheel options only work Sync with phone and blue tooth. The other keys are on my dash right of steering wheel; INFO, SETUP, & RESET. Those don’t work either it seems.

The only way to clear My Key is to use the Admin key If you are using the MyKey you can't turn it off, for obvious reasons.
