I love going to the local drag strip and I'm ready to step into the big leagues (10s) lol I have an auto 5.0 x pipe tune LCA runs 12.17 this past winter I want 10s this year. What supercharger should I get? What all will I need? Most responsive without a converter?

VMP blower. Done. Instant 10's providing you have a tire and suspension.

A TVS will be the cheapest/easiest way to 10's it think because you wont need a converter. The first thing I learned after installing my Procharger was a converter was needed. But I like the PC because the centri is easier on the engine(debatable)and I plan on running my stock engine for as long as I can. The stock suspension will work fine for the drag strip with an automatic. Just get some sticky tires. Rear LCA's will benefit the car though. They will keep the car in a more straight line while spinning or doing a burnout.

How deep can I get into the 10s with a TVS stock motor. I'm going to get some weight reduction things (k member driveshaft etc) more suspension (upper control arms, struts and shocks)

The M/T 275 pro drag radials are awesome....I'm at 670 rwhp and 10.20's with zero wheel-spin. Highly recommended.

VMP = easy Ten's... A friend of mine with a auto 14 GT installed an X pipe and the VMP, no stall, no headers and runs 10;40 with only DR's on back, for me I will be going Whipple in about a year.

I'm a Kenne Bell guy, but whipples are awesome too....so, what's all the fuss about VMP? What are they doing different/better?

10.40 on a stock motor is awesome....I spent a mint on my 3 valve to go that fast.

There is plenty of Whipple coyotes running 10's-10.20's on stock motor, heads, cams, stall,

Alot of people go with vmp for the cost as you can get a full kit for less than the Whipple alone.

Unfortunately the Kenne bell superchargers do not perform great on the coyotes, until they hit high boost levels. Low boost 6-12 psi they are not impressive at all.
