Anyone ever run into trouble with taillight covers? Insurance wise? Ever been rear ended and it's your fault cause of the taillight tint?

I got tinted and the matte black bezels. During the day, they are black, but braking or running light on, day or night, there is no confusion that the light is on. Can't even tell they're black at night or when brakin

Same here. Don't run those crappy Honda ricer boy covers. Get tint and the matte surrounds. Thy look cool and are black/maroon but when brakes are applied they are well lit and seen. It makes the lights look clearer too. All my lights are tinted except the headlights and tag. Never had a problem.

I'm very happy with mine. I did get the same style headlight covers as the ricer tail light ones, but the headlights are a hundred times better than the tail light covers. Look legit. I'd upgrade to HID's though. I have 8000k on 35w ballasts, and they're just enough.

The headlight covers? Not at all. The 2012 ones use 3M velcro tape. So if you take careful time installing them, it'll sit a couple centimeters above the bumper. Not enough to visibly notice, around any edges. But enough to not rub. I've heard a small number of people say that it scratched their bumper, but I think they just hurried on the installation. During the day, they are solid black. I have them installed on my profile picture. Interested and I'll post it so people can see.

Yeah, I wish I had of gone 6000k with 50w ballasts. Mine is a little too blue, but with the covers, it's not too bad.

I have sylvania silver star ultra gold in my headlights as I have DRL. Better than a HID setup in halogen IMO

I get everything for my Pony from AM. You can't beat their customer service and price. They also price match.
That's why they are bannered across my windshield. Been ordering since 09 from them. I just hate covers btw

I heard the same thin about the 50w ballasts. Was worried about that but could not get too much info. Appreciate the advice. I have never been a fan of covers either, but these ones on the '12 are a perfect, flat fit. Plus, my whole Pony is going black, so they were a must. Smoked isn't dark enough.

No offense to the covers, I know I'm posting alot on this lol but if I ever did them, it would be for shows only. Everyone complains about the visibility. Well duh, you put black plastic on them, what do you expect. Are your lights blue with the covers or without. If they are with them on ten its the covers. Mine are white btw

Yeah, this is my first one. And I'll be driving pony's from now on. I'm sold. I love my mustang. And AM. They kick ass.

Mine are still blue. Not as bad as without them. Blue as **** with no cover, with them it's blue but not as bright.
