Ok, first and foremost I realize that Suspension is a big part of the car. However I have a deal that I can not pass up if its not gone by the time I get my taxes and that is a Paxton P1sc full kit including intercooler for 2500. Cant go wrong there. However, there are a few other things I would like to get in the meantime if $ prevails.

I will pick up some MM CC plates since I already have my lowering springs, just need install. I also found someone on CL that is selling brand new Steeda X2 balljoints and bump steer kit cheap so those will be purchased as well.

1 big thing I know I need is BREAKS!!! My current breaks are on their last leg and need changed soon, my ? is, what do I do with them. I really want to upgrade them to 13" breaks but what is the best way to do that and get the most bang for my $.

I have been trying to build this car up more so as I find deals rather than focusing on one area due to $ being limited and of course family coming first.

Current mods on car:
BBK CAI
BBK 78mm tb/p
Steeda UD pulley
Mac Prochamber
Mac catback
MGW short throw
93 race tune
373 gears will be installed with taxes as well

any and all help will be appreciated

i just read on another forum where someone said gt breaks with drilled/slotted rotors and good pads and SS lines are just as good if not better than cobra breaks? is this true? is the 13" just better "eye candy" inside the wheels?

13" brakes cover more surface. as for drilled and slotted rotors, what does the drilling really do? You put holes in your rotor. Typically I'm okay with slotting them, but drilled for a street car is a little to far. Your doing nothing but adding eye candy. Your taking away surface for the cooling that your brakes will never get. go 13" with slotted rotors. get some red calipers or blue to stick out from the black and your set.

Bigger brakes make a big difference. If you want to step up to the cobra/bullitt/mach 1 brakes, the best new conversion kit deal is on late model restoration I think. About 450$ with everything. I recommend you do it. If you really are feeling frisky they also have the 2000 Cobra R brakes for 1200$ those are mean brakes. Next year for me I think.

I really only want to do this once, I don't know if I'll ever get up to needing cobra r breaks. I don't plan on pushin my vert past 400-450. But I ruined my gr rotors a lol while ago and I get mush pedal anytime I drive hard so I have to take it easy. Was tryin to make them last till I get better break setup all together

Kit with slotted rotors and ss lines is 699 kit with reg rotors and replacement rubber lines is 559

the surface coverage is what makes the difference, so yes I will agree the bigger brakes make more of a difference. Go for the kit with slotted rotors and ss lines. Well worth it now than later. Replacing the hoses is annoying especially depending on where you live.
