Stuck between 70mm Stack Racing throttle body/plenum or MGW short throw shifter for Christmas. What do you guys think??

MGW, but you won't get it in time for Christmas if that's a concern. Mine took about 3 weeks to get, since they machine and build everything in house. It's a quality product, made in America, well worth the investment. I'd buy it again.

Yes, it took nearly a month, but it was worth it. It's an amazing product, they have redone everything and made it a million times better than OEM, including a NEW correctly sized inner shift boot, heat shield, and a ridiculous amount of sound deadening material in addition to extra dynamat extreme they give you with the kit. The advanced engineering in the product is obvious. I removed a Steeda shifter bushing paired with the stock shifter to install this, apparently the previous owner installed it before me and I didn't even know it was there.

MGW is a totally different beast, it is a full replacement of the upper and lower shifter mechanism, it's not just a "drop-in" style. Go watch the MGW videos...it's worth the wait. I have no doubt that this shifter will last a lifetime.

You will not be disappointed with the shifter. Easy install too. I screwed the stock shifter back on too. Everyone who drives it is AMAZED at how crisp each gear is. I got it through a company that offered a gasket too but still used the silicone. Good time to change fluids too if needed.

Ok, you go with the tri ax shifter, but you might want to check out UPRs long handled shifter handles and knobs. Sweet things! With my knob I basically deleted the shift pattern; if you don't drive mustang you can't drive my car! The other item is the long handled shifter handle for guys that max their seats out. Ahhh, the easy reach! I love it. Merry Christmas and happy planning. Hope I got your attention. Ha ha.

I heard the dust boot and a shifter gasket from CobraBob's is what you need for install? Besides all the other hardware that comes with the shifter (I'm talking about the MGW shifter).

I'd get a short throw. It was one of my favorite mods and u don't have to get anything else just a little rtv between tranny and shifter

The dust boot and gasket are not needed, if you can, I would just get the shifter. I purchased the gasket and ended up net using it. The liquid gasket the provide with the shifter works much better.
