my friend installed a 70 mm throttle on his 00 v6 (duel flows, and cai) and he says it is harder for him to accelerate and it seems like it is slower.. i mentioned his maf but he didnt know wat i meant. should he replace his fuel infectors to parellel the more air being allowed in for the performance he wanted??? what should he do!?

more air isnt being flowed into his car with a 70MM TB... the stock Throttle Body is able to flow enough for a stock v6 mustang to a decently modded mustang.

Tell him to take the throttle body off and sell it and put the stock one back on. The 70MM is bigger than he needs unless he has a supercharger or turbocharger on his car.

You will see power loss with a bigger throttle body on a stock v6 mustang.

I agree theres no use until you get heavily modded. I dunno about it losing power but you might have a vac leak somewhere causing the power loss.

just get rid of it.

Yeah, there is actually a little lose of power. You slow down the cfms passing through the intake because of the air disturbance caused by the intake manifold where the TB attaches. To utilize such a mod you first need to enlarge the TB opening to 70mm and you also need to create a demand for the extra air which I doubt either one has been done. Also, with the air moving slower through the engine you're not sucking in as much air into your cylinders which is causing the lack of power.
