Looking to get a fresh set of wheels and tires for my GT and I've done a lot of looking around and I came across a staggered set of black18' fr500 9x10 wheels on eBay and American muscle has the same set just a couple hundred more and the sizes on eBay are 245-40-18 and 275-35-18 then on AM its 275-35-18 and 285-35-18 now my question is what's the difference between the sets are they wider or less or more sidewalls??!?! I'm just lost haha

The 245 is tire width!.. The 40 is the sidewall, and the 18 is the size rim that it fits!.. 275 is wider than a 245!.. And 40 is taller than 35!...

The eBay set will have less wider tires, while the AM set is going to be bit wider. I would reccomend getting the rims by themselves and get tires seperate. Go with like 265-275 in the front and 295-315 in the back

Go 315x35 in the back and like 275x40 in the front

U think that would be the cheaper route?
It would be better than the AM set because the tires are only going to be 10mm difference. Rims are going to be 550 plus the tires at the prices you can find like 5-600

schmitty426,

From the sound of the Tire size's our wheels will be a bit wider. A 245 is best fit on an 8in wheel and you can run a 275 on a 9/10in wide wheel! If you're looking for a different tire size we can definitely put a kit together for you, that's not a problem at all.

Let me know what I can do for you, I'm here to help! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.
