Can I put 215/55/17 on front and 235/55/17 on rear of a 2000 mustang? It’s my sons first car and it needs tires and I got someone giving me these!

The tires are of different diameter by about 8%. By doing this, the tire speeds will b e different between front and rear. This will drive the ABS (Anti-Skid Brake System) bananas, resulting in warning lights being illuminated.

Yeah, that's gonna be a hard NO. Those tires are completely the wrong sizes for that car. The correct size, as I'm sure you know, is 245/45R17, and the original tires were Z speed-rated (W and Y speed-rated tires can be substituted, too). My 2002 GT has that size tires on it, although I'm getting ready soon (already have the wheels) to upgrade to 18" wheels and 245/40R18 tires
