Ok my transmission recently went out in my 87 and I was told that they are only rated at 300hp. If true what transmission should I be looking to get? My car is pushing around 350hp and a supercharger is in the future. Thanks

Oh man..haha I'm kind of nervous though cause its some place In Oceanside. When the tow got here it was a wheel lift which I already didn't like and he dragged my bumper on the curb(breaking my front bumper) called management and they are taking care of that. Just the fact of them having my keys though and everything I'm just nervous about it

I have the astro performance a-5 tranny. It's pretty bullet proof, just an upgrades t5 with better gear ratios. I make over 600 whp and it is fine. They cost around 2 grand. With the hp u have if you don't plan on going any higher, a good budget tranny is the ford racing heavy duty t5 for about 1200. It all depends on how u drive it. My stock t5 lasted quite a while with this much power and it saw quite a bit of track use.
