Hey guys i got offered this from edgeracingconverters.com

Depending on the application, combination and desired stall math this can be configured in our "Mild Street Edge" series with stall math as high as 2600rpm for 374.50, or the "Street Edge" series with stall math as high as 5500 RPM (your choice ) for 565.00. Both have the upgraded "high carbon" friction lock up and come with a one year warranty and our 100% money back satisfaction guarantee.

Does this seem like a cheap converter? Would you go with a PI stallion ? thans for your imput

Edge converters are fine and all, but PI is world-renoun and everyone knows them. Edge is okay, not as good as PI. if you get the Edge, then get the street one and get a 2800 stall if you have a 99+ and a 2600 if you have a pre99

As much as I would like to help, i have no clue since I drive a stick. I think Corey would know. He should be in here soon. You can also check out his sig. That's what I would do.

Or, i could just post it for you. I don't see a TQ converter in there anywhere, so you might need to just PM him.

Corey

Brandon,

How come you keep saying 2800 for a 99+?

Just wondering.

Because they have a slightly higher redline than the single ports did. Plus with the 3.27s stock instead of the 2.73s, their peak tq is moved up slightly. Since it is a 2800 stall (which moves break stall to about 2200-2300). The SPI engines can break stall higher and then use their lower (numerically higher) gear ratio to makeup for the higher stall and lockup rpms.

EDIT: with the single port engines, you want the tq to be lower in the power band because of the 2.73s and the 40 less bhp and with the same tq, you want it on tap at all times.

3000 works, but I don't like suggesting anything higher and thus 200 rpms less works well
