Haven't posted on this in ages.
Long story short, our Air Force unit on this Navy base has its own gym because we are a 24/7 operation and secure access only for the flightline. The Navy gym is not 24/7...
Its small, room is probably 1000 sq ft, but there is a lot of stuff in it for what it is. 1 of the huge cable machines that splits into two smaller ones basically and the middle part is where you can do cable flys etc...
Bench, squat rack, squat rack that has the bar on rails, various incline/flat/decline benches, treadmill, elliptical, quad/hamstring extension machine and dumbells that go up to 105.
I started just running and doing pushups/situps to pass the PT test in February. Got that knocked out. Kinda slacked on heavy cardio but been working slowly on the weights. Goal is to get a 10x set on the 100lb dumbells on the incline by next summer. I started at 50 in February and am up to 65 now, I might get 70x10 this week. Legs I have actually been really good on, just stared to do more back... biceps I do hammers, standing cable, preachers and incline. I have a meh back and have been working it a lot and finally started doing deadlifts so that has been going well so far.
So yeah... time to get serious with cardio and treadmill 3 miles 3 times per week at 6-6.5 to start and after it starts to cool off in the fall I'll transition to the track and work on that. I am having a harder time than I used to actually dropping weight off the midsection, getting closer to 40 and drinking will do that... have cut down on the alcohol to just weekends really but might cut even farther and cut out carbonated drinks completely as well.
Dunno what else. I know I posted this a long time ago and never really got into it but finally have gym time where I can use it and a legit set of stuff that I almost never have to wait on using.
More motivation is the fact that I don't want to end up like some of these old dudes on the beach that I go to every day... or how my father looks now at 66 years old and a lifetime of drinking and being on meds... eeeh no... other motivation is the good scenery on European beaches.
