I was wondering what everyone's opinion is. I don't trust myself doing the rtv rig. Plus if I have to pay labor, I figure I should just get livernois kit.( when its on sale)

Tuners roughly $350 w/discount and intake kits $369

Pi intake is good for around 15rwhp. I don't think ill see that out of tuner.

Car is a 96gt with cai, pulleys, and catted h pipe(hi flo)

Just wanted some opinions or experience. Planning on purchasing next month.
Thanks

You can get the install kit for $180 and a used 01-04 pi intake for $50 from craigslist. That's what im into on mine. Shop quoted me $250 so ill be around $480 if I don't install myself. Tuners normally run $380. So if an extra $100 wont hurt you, id go with the intake swap. Ill be getting mine installed within the next month, so ill let you know if it was worth it or not!

In your case this one is bit of a though one!.. If your car is an auto I would do the tuner first!.. But if not then do the PI intake first!.. Only assuming you have just enough cash for one or the other!.. If that's not the case then do both at the same time!..

I was talking about the kit with adapter plates. The cheapest I've seen it was $360. If I do that, ill try it myself.

If I went the $180 install kit plus $100 for used intake. That's $280 and ill have to pay for labor. No way I can find shop to do it for $100. It be cheaper for me to to do the adapter plate kit.

I could squeeze both but I'd rather do one and get some used cobra rims. Also plan on short throw, lowering springs, struts/shocks, chin spoiler, new headlights.
After all that ill have bout $400 left. That's why its down to tuner or intake kit.
