I am looking to upgrade my stock exhaust to dual cat back exhaust and am wondering if I should go with Flowmasters or Dyno Max Super Turbos? I want something loud to wake up my neighbors early in the morning when going to work, lol. All opinions will be appreciated.

Not really because my neighbors stay up all night and party while I have to sleep. They don't get quiet until its time for me too get up for work. Again, what do you guys prefer if I want something loud, and do u prefer the sound of the super turbos over the flowmasters? I'd like an opinion about my mustang exhaust.

A shop by my house charges 650 for everything. Its not going to bolt on to the y pipe, I'm assuming that since it's not bolting to the y pipe, it's true duals. Correct me if I'm wrong. And is 650 for everything too much? The shop is called Sweenys Muffler and they have good reviews on yelp.

So I've been looking around and found another shop who will do the same work for 420. I will be dropping my car off there tomorrow morning and will have my flowmasters tomorrow afternoon. This shop has even better reviews on yelp than the first shop I was going to go to.

I was thinking of getting a CAI with the money I saved from American Muscle. After my exhaust upgrade I want to get a CAI, a throttle body, and a Tune. Can I get any added HP with these mods and are they worth getting for my V6?

yea i mean tuner when i say hand held...and j mod is a home done shift kit basically...google it for a write up :good:
Do you recommend a j mod instead of a shift kit? Is it possible to do both? I will google it now. Thanks for the tip.

I will go with a tune next. What are the possible hp gains I can get with a tune?

I would do the jmod and get a few custom tunes from American Muscle or a similar custom tuning vendor. The custom tunes are uploaded to your car via a handheld tuner like SCT.

The CAI will not do much...in conjunction with a 93 octane race tune from Bama Tuning (from American Muscle) you might see ~7-10rwhp and similar tq. The real noticeable difference that you'll actually feel is the difference in your auto shifting. Between the jmod and the improved shift firmness/points set by the tune your auto will wake right the hell up.

I'd suggest getting an inexpensive CAI from American Muscle or the Bomz Ebay CAI if that's still around and install it yourself. You'll get in some wrenching time and get know your car better. The CAI install requires some basic tools (screwdrivers and sockets) and doesn't require a lot of teardown, so it's a great do-it-yourself mod.

If you feel more comfortable after the CAI install..do some research and consider doing the jmod. If you're still not sure about it, just get the custom tunes with the improved shift points. You'll be more than happy with those alone.
Thanks, will do. Will the CAI affect my car when it comes to passing smog? (I live in California)
