Just had a new clutch put in (stock replacement) and everything was all good I thought. Didn't realize until that I had drove it home and was sitting in neutral, that the clutch pedal was rattling when idle. And if I barely touch it you can feel it vibrating. Before, this was never an issue. Also, if you're sitting in neutral and give it some gas and slightly touch the clutch pedal, not even pushing it in, you can hear a noise that sounds like something rotating and hitting something else. But if you just rev it and dont touch the clutch, you don't hear it. So what's the deal? Can't contact the guys who did the clutch and all until Monday so I figured I'd see about you guys opinions?

Keep in mind I do have an aftermarket clutch cable, firewall adjuster and quadrant. I had this installed for about 3 months before a new clutch was put in and it never rattled like this. Thoughts?

Interesting. How much was it for you?
If its a tob i should have been replaced along witht the install of the clutch.....that is if its a good shop they should have atleast told u that

I urge anyone changing out there clutch to replace the TOB with a Ford Racing one only. There are the best reliable one out there do not go cheap on that. You dont want to have to pull the tranny just for TOB again.

Yeah I went and looked at my copy of what they did and they did replace the TOB. So what could it be now?

Doesnt necessarily mean they did honestly i could charge u for a tob and not replace it and ur clutch will work fine. Seen it done alot in the automotive field. My suggestions get the tob replaced again as a defect or it may be the pilot bearing

These guys are well known, I trust that they did it and Monday I'm going to go back and let them take a peak at it. Yesterday I drove it and it randomly stopped doing both of the things I described so it's got me stumped. But there's still a vibration behind the clutch pedal, like a foot massage lol.

Yes the flywheel was resurfaced.

Then maybe its the breaking in of the clutch. That may be the way it feels for its break in period. Read up yesterday that any aftermarket clutches sometimes vibrate a bit when breaking in and they smooth out after the 500 mile break in

Yeah I'm thinking I'll let it get closer to 500 before I worry too too much seeing as I've only gone about 100 if that

OP have you checked to make sure the TOB isn't resting on the pressure plate?
