Here is my dilemma. My 2013 had a blinking engine light a few weeks ago indicating misfire. There is a TSB 13-1-11 for my vehicle. I'm stationed in Germany and have an appointment at the local dealership to have it checked out tomorrow. (I've been waiting 2 weeks).

So today my DS Intune tuner arrived and I used it to check for any DTCs. NONE!

If the dealership checks it out and says it's all good or performs the TSB should I wait to tune it?

The light only blinked for 10 seconds during a hard pull on the highway and it hasn't blinked since.

I read some stuff about bad gas causing misfires. I was running some crappy 90 octane at the time of the blinking CEL. Ive been running 93 ever since.

I'm really eager to load my Bama tune. Any thoughts? Thanks!

if you tune it and your issue is big enough they will deny fixing it because the car was tuned. The dealership won't be able to tell it was tuned more than likely, but if they have to call Ford in or do call Ford in, you might be up the creek without a paddle.

I know diablo claims their tunes "don't exist" when tuned back to stock, but better to play it safer than sorry?

I'm sure your GT is fine. Bad gas can definitely cause a misfire. I would recommend having it checked out by the dealership first, then give it a nice beating or a few miles. If the problem doesn't reoccur, then load your tuner and enjoy your Bama custom tuner!

This is just my recommendation, I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Thanks for your Service and Bravery!

Yea it's best to give it at least 5-10k before tuning... Chances are IF there are any issues, it will happen in that time. After that u should be bulletproof
That's the thing. I have just over 9k on it now. The cel blinked once around 8k and hasn't done it again. It didn't even idle rough when it happened. My cel never stayed on like most others with this issue. If the dealership tells me everything looks okay then I think I'll wait another week or so before I tune. I'll have about 10k by then. If anyone thinks my plan is a bad idea let me know. Please.

Sounds to me like you've made your mind up already, but hey, It's your car and your warranty. Hope it works out well for you.
