I had this new 13 v6 automatic mustang for only 600 miles. However, the weird sound has been there for a month. When I try to start moving after the stop signs, the car sometimes will have a popping (clicking) sound coming from the front in low rpm(usually 0.9k). It didn't show every time I accelerate after a stop sign, but for the most of time it is there. Also, the car is a little slow before that sound, it speeds up after that sound.(there is a small bumping feeling when the car make that sound). Took it to the dealer twice, they said everything is fine, we didn't hear any abnormal sound.
I read some thread says it's the defective front lower control arm bushing, however, there is no weird sound when the car pass a speed bump. it happens only when I try to accelerate from stop.

Is there anyone know the problem?

Yeah, I think my problem is that when I gently step on the gas pedal(really gently) , it's fine; a little fierce, it's screwed. I think it might use 2nd to take off sometimes. That just explains the bumping feeling, cuz throttle delay shouldn't bump. But how can I know what dear it's in? Mine is the basic V6 with no information display.

Fuse 47 is for throttle delay right? I will try but throttle delay shouldn't have that bumping feeling.

So I do check the shifting, it does start to take off from 1st, I think the sound comes before shifting to 2nd. I haven't try unplug the fuse47. If this is a prob of driveshaft, then why it happens only when I try to accelerate after come to a stop?

Hard to diagnose without hearing it. But try something. Open your hood without the engine running. Push down and up on one fender at a time and see if you have that noise coming from your lower control arm on either side. Eliminate that possibility before we think about the transmission. It may not be noticeable yet on speed bumps.
So I did what you recommend, however, there is no sound. Also how can I upload the pics cuz I took the picture about the lower control arm. It also has the serial No starts with 1207...

okay, so it feels like after I release the brake and step on the gas, the brake still slightly kissing the plate, thus cause a sound like "Da!" before it completely separates from the plate.(That's just how I feel about the sound and bumping, may not be real scenario or problem) After all, it explains for the reason why car speeds up a little after the sound and bump. Every morning when I fire the car and start driving, the first 0.1-0.2 mile never have that sound. It's just annoying. Mustang is the dream car for me before I came to US (I am a international student study at U of Maryland). But now...

Sorry about the delay guys, I've been quite busy about the school these days. I didn't unplug fuse #47, cuz I didn't know how to (by hand? with tools?) However, I am sure about one thing now. The car didn't "click or bump" when I completely stop it (not moving at all)and then take off. It only happens when I "ALMOST" stop the car (still moving at a very low speed---speed like I walk) and try to accelerate from that. it feels like the gears suddenly kicks in(But there is no shifting). I was gonna take it to the dealer, however, the sound (or bump ) disappeared that day T T, and appeared again after that!!!! I also have to say that sometimes it was there and sometimes it wasn't there, which makes me annoyed.....Somebody help.....

Hello everyone:
So I took my Mustang to my dealer today and had a guy ride with me. They finally admitted and noticed that problem. They think that has sth to do with the "hard transmission engagement". I will post the official diagnose report once I get my car back. Thanks everyone for patiently helping me.

A BAD NEWS!
So today the dealer call me to get my car back. However, unlike what the guy who ride with me yesterday said, the transmission tech says "it is normal when the car is cold". Since I don't know how to upload a pic of the report here, I just type everything here.
"1238 transmission jerks shift hard test drive vehicle when cold and at warm up transmission operates normal perform computer diagnosis no trouble codes found check calibration no later update check fluid level and condition, top off fluid level"

It sounds like BS to me because:
The problems happens when the car is somewhat warmed up, not cold.
The guy who test drive with me wasn't the guy who repair my car, transmission tech may not experience what's going on
I personally don't believe that's a transmission problem because the rpm looks good and smooth and there is no shift when that problem happens.

Anyway, I am going to the dealer next Monday. This is exhausted since I've been there 4 times and every time it was the same result.

The service got in my car and acknowledged that problem, but he think that's a transmission prob and find a transmission specialist to test drive it on his own. That trans tech didn't really know what's going on. I guess I need to have several guys sitting in the car to find that problem. Also, the heavier the car loads, the more likely the problem occurs.
