I don't have the money to do a full exhaust replace so tips or a different set of pipes maybe. But I want to make it faster so i can take it to the track down here. I cant spend a lot of money at one time though. Because i just don't have it. I really just need some quick tunes or gear sets to give it more acceleration. So post your ideas here and ill see who has the best boost for the money.

Ok well since you haven't provided a budget, ill just list the prices.

Im listing the mods in bang-for-the-buck most to least
Good set of Drag Radials!!! - $400
4.10 gears - $160 + $250 install
JLT Cold Air Intake + SCT Tuner - $650
Torque Converter Street Stall (2800ish?) - $500 + $400 install
Longtube Headers - $500
Mac Prochamber - $300
Axleback Exhaust - $400

Ive seen people easily get into the 13.4-13.6 range with a stock Mustang GT on nothing but Drag Radials. Thats a .5 second improvement over stock! Now with 4.10s, a tune and intake, and DRs you could break into 12.9-13.0 territory maybe!

Since this car is OBD-II compliant you'll be getting a hand held tuner, not a "chip" . The stock exhaust system doesn't become a liability until you are up around 400 HP in the S197 cars. It's pretty nice for a stock system, people who change out the mufflers (axle back) do it for sound, there's not much in the way of performance gains. However these cars do respond very well to CAI's provided you get a tune for them. The stock tune is pretty conservative, an aftermarket tune with a CAI can make noticeable gains and really make the drive by wire throttle more responsive.

The biggest power improver on the newer cars is going to be a cold air and tune. If you can spend the extra cash get an off road x pipe. That will differently lower your et's down a lot. As well as stickier tires but that can come later as power increases.

Get new gears for sure. Either 3.73, 3.90, or 4.10. The price to install if you cant do it yourself will be the expensive part. Cams, and pulleys will help as well. The more you can do yourself the better. An aluminum drive shaft will cut about 20lbs while adding about 15hp to the tires.

first thing's first "Performance chip's are great start and fairly low buck
but for more power engines need to have allot of air in and out so sooner or later u're going to need an exhaust an and high flow air inlet
