hey guys, when i first got my car after i got it from my dad it had the SES light on and i took it 2 autozone and they said it had nine codes. My dad replaced everything or got it replaced and the light was still on. i took it back and they said im still getting 6 codes even though i got them replaced already.

im still getting these codes:
P0443-Evap Emission
P0135-O2 sensor Bank1Sensor1
P0141-O2 sensor Bank1Sensor2
P0155-O2 sensor Bank2Sensor1
P0161-O2 sensor Bank2Sensor2
P0403-EGR flow

does any1 know what it could be? any help is appreciated, thanks.

can they break the codes down for you any more they can be hard to understand the exactly issue. Someone will post up soon hopefully with a break down of what each of those codes mean exactly.

Check the fuse under the drivers side dash. I had 4 codes this past weekend that didn't make sense and it ended up being a blown fuse. It may be the same fuse in your car as mine, and if so it's the #8 fuse in the driver side passenger compartment fuse box. It's a 20 amp fuse. You may want to refer to your user manual if you have it to see where that is. It is the one for the evap system.

For reference, I had 135, 155, 443, and 450 something. The rear O2 sensors are disabled in mine so that's why I didn't get those ones...and my EGR is also disabled since I removed it from the car so that's why I didn't get that one. However, i had the 3 others you have.

To cause a P0443, there has to be a problem with the purge control CIRCUIT, not necessarily the valve. Usually they are a unit housing the valve and the solenoid as an assembly. Or it could be comprised of a separate solenoid with vacuum lines to a purge valve. That said, it could be any of the following:

Bad purge solenoid (internal short or open)
Wiring harness chafing or rubbing another component causing short or open on control circuit
Connector worn, broken or shorted due to water intrusion
Driver circuit inside powertrain control module (PCM) is bad

A code P0135 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

O2 Heater element resistance is high
Internal short or open in the heater element
O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
open or short to ground in the wiring harness
Possible SolutionsRepair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors
Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)

PO403

A code P0403 most likely means one or more
The DPFE (differential pressure) sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced
There is a blockage in the EGR (most likely carbon buildup)
The EGR valve is faulty
The EGR valve may not be opening due to a lack of vaccuum
P0403, it is common for people to replace the EGR valve, only to have the problem return. The most likely solution is to replace the DPFE sensor.

Check the voltage at the DPFE sensor both at idle and when the EGR is open
Replace the DPFE sensor

^^^ Don't forget, the fuse is also part of the circuit. I had the same code last friday, replaced fuse, code went bye bye.

My fuse had blown due to a shorted out passenger side front O2 sensor. Replaced sensor to fix the short. Replaced fuse. All fixed. Then drove to tupelo, MS 2 hours later....then back...codes still all gone.

Ok thanks for the advice i'll see if i can fix it. Hopefully thats all its going to be. I'll see if its the fuse or not maybe thats all it is.

Im posting about 10 years after to let you know that a fuse was my problem. For anyone like me who might run into this post. I have a 2005 ford mustang with about 28 codes. Dont want to list them but it had all the ones OP listen and then some transmission codes. Causing it go onto limp mode. Od light flashing etc. It would have taken the "mechanic" who kept putting in used transmission a few more tries until something else. Anywas. Thank you guys. Made an account just comment thanks and share my experiences

Could you PLEASE TELL ME WHAT FUSE IT IS? I’m having this problem now!
