On American muscle I can find a 305/40r18 but it's under 2005 to 2010 will these tires work with the 99-04 stangs I don't know what the year is supposed to mean for tires I thought all tires will work if it's the right wheel size?

They're a little tall for the new edge stang. You would want more like a 305/35/18

Yeah, you would only be an inch taller overall, you might try to pm cole Johnson to see if he had to do anything to get his to fit.

You need to understand what the numbers on the tire mean. I run a 315/35/17. 1st number is width in millimeters, 2nd sidewall height as a ratio of height to width. So my tire would be 315mm wide, 110.25 mm tall (315x35%), on a 17in wheel.
So a 315/35/17 tire does is taller than a 305/35/17 tire.

You will rub on unevent pavement, I have the same setup 305-40-18 and I rubbed and had to roll the fenders. I'm dropped around 2.5 in the back

I rub my fronts a lot. They're 255/45/18s. Profile needs to be 40 or 35 if you're lowered. Im trying to find new ones...

I get my tires from a vendor from Craig's and cheap. I'm not sure if they make a non drag radial I will check. Well this is when I had Griggs springs with a 1.8' drop.

And this is with coilovers with approximately a 2.5 drop. I can go lower but this is good for me
