I don't think it's aftermarket. My 98 had it, I know this because I had a vac leak on the dang thing.

It's just vacuum lines u might need to pull on the black fitting and take a flat screwdriver between it and plenum to remove it if it hasn't been removed in a long time

It's stock. And I already knew everything. I just couldn't get it off. But I wasn't pulling hard enough. It just had a big lip to pull over. It's all good npw
