Your transmission and rear end ratio are really what determine your mileage...if you use a overdrive tranny like a T5 or AOD, with a 3.00 rear you could get up to 25 mpg with a tuned v8...up to 30 mpg with a 200 in six in good tune..

The cars are very light and I used to get 25 out of my 1965 six 3speed when it was fairly new..
289's would get up to 20 with carb and no overdrive

Did you know your mileage can vary by 10 mpg depending on how you are driving..

You have to rethink what u are doing...if ur concerned with gas mileage it sounds like ur going to be driving every day...67 stangs are cruiser and collector cars...for ppl who probably put less than 1000miles a year on them...are u really going to park a 67stang in the walmart parkin lot or street?
