Hi guys this is my first post on the forum and have a question. I have a 04 gt with CAI, off road H pipe and muffler delete. I have $500 to spend and wondering if a tuner would be my best bet or if I should spend money towards something else.

Im going to have to disagree and heres why.... I think we all fall into that trap of mod creeping so to speak. Ive done it too. What I mean is my buddy this past summer spent money on a CAI and a Throttle body only to now want FI. So when that day comes and he drops money on a vortech/procharger for example than he just basically wasted his money with the CAI and TB... My opinion is i would avoid this type of possibility. If for instance he went with gears or subframes those compliment future mods very well. So in terms of you saying you want a tuner im not saying thats not a good idea. But what im saying is if that day comes where one day you find your stang on a dyno than you can kiss those bama tunes goodbye. So my opinion is always go with the mods that are going to be beneficial not just now but also in the future. You may say NAHH im never going the dyno route but lets not kid ourselves.... the mod bug always bites us and that itch never goes away. So set up your stang right now and prepare a little bit for the future. So in short, id say gears, suspension work or full length subframe connectors

Also check out cliffy K's thread "beginners guide to bolt ons" got a ton of useful information ( like how a CAI does nothing for HP gains)
