I'm new at the modified mustang scene and need to know the correct psi for these rear tires on my 2004 Mach 1. Thanx

No stock tires would have been P245/45/17 inch .
These are mounted on AFS Mach 1 replica wheels drag tires.
Front tires are NT 555 P275/40ZR 17 inch.

Personally, if not stock, I split the difference between the door sticker and the stated max pressure on the tire. Never had an issue.

I tend to set tires to 5-10 psi under the Max rating. Rated to 50 for example, ill set them to around 42. Your milege may vary. (Pun intended.)

According to TireRack, changing tire size doesn't change tire inflation psi.
My 2014 stock rear tire was 285/35-20, now 305/35-20......still run 35psi per the door plate.

My 2011 has track rubber, to get to the track, run 30psi on the street.
@ the track, 12 - 15psi in the rears.
