I have a 60's model Mustang and while I wait for the motor rebuild, I am trying to detail other areas of restoration.

I've been looking into the Indy shifters from Hurst and
and am trying to find the best for a 3 speed 302
Can anyone tell me a better shifter to use?
( not worried about using original parts)
I'm not trying to completly restore it. I just want to get it running smooth and looking good.
Any advice for me on anything having to do with my Mustang is greatly APPRECIATED.
Thanks

my bud had several mustangs all classics and fast the standard hurst shifter was popular be cause it was like a pool ball and unscrewed to make a weapon if attacked also the t-stick for the automatic was popular in chrome

I would stay with original equip. it looks good & works good so why mess with it unless your going to race the car. try looking at mustangsplus.com, they have several shifters to choose from. stock or resto-mod! good luck
