basically here's the deal. the 6er is done. nothing else except keeping it running.

now i'm turning my attention to a restomod.

requirements for the donor car:

- 1967-1968 mustang fastback
- has to have the full suspension intact
- an engine, but not a running one necessarily
- some interior

basically i want the car to be there as a starting point so i don't have to go back and think to myself 'am i missing somehting that goes there?'

is there anything else i should be weary of? i don't mind changing out floorpans or body panels. i just don't want to have it half-done and find out 'oh...theres an empty spot there for something'

yea, on a restoration you can do it right or cut corners and do it half assed. Doing it right means spending alot more money, time, and money on the car adn expect to be working on it for a VERY long time :)

You can find a good many cars in the years you listed, they made a ton, just finding one in good enough shape (not rusted though a little surface rust is ok) is the hard part. Also check the underside and floor boards.

In todays market you can find prefabed EVERYTHING just about for them so~ if the frame and body are good you can replace fenders, doors, etc etc

check the frame, shock towers, cowl area and quarter panels GOOD fitment of the body panels is als good to...also if it is a original v8 or ex 6cyl car. if its a ex 6cy car with stock suspension..do yourself a favor an change it. 6cyls are 4lug, v8 is 5lug also.
