i have this thing called school and work and i cant miss either :( im at work right now actually :( ( 7:25pm central )
Well what stuff are you looking for exactly? I'm thinking about opening a "business" polishing stuff on the side. I've done alot of stuff so far. I've polish my A/C bracket and tensioner. I've also polished my upper and alternator. They look ok, not bad but not great. I need better tools first so I can really get into it. My compressor can't keep up with some air tools, so I'm gonna get some electric stuff. But I thought I'd let you know.
well i want stuff that wont be horrible to keep looking good... so i was thinking the compressor, alternator, upper intake, brakets that i can get to, rad hose, and this and thats... just stuff i can get to decently....
OK, well I got a A/C bracket that's all polished up if you wanna see it?
sure let me see, while i have my top end tore down i want to get all the little things done before i put it back together. there is a nice chrome shop not to far away... but i would rather have polished.
DO you have you top end tore down now? Here's my pics of the A/C bracket. This is really the only piece I have really polished thus far. I've done other things, but it was just a quick job. When I finally get things going I think I'm going to charge something like $15 an hour, an un-known value for each part, and then a core charge for each part too. So a Bracket like that would be 9 hours of work, and maybe $40 for the part and another $40 core charge. So something like $215ish. Prices are still in work though. But if you have a special part, you can just pay for the polishing as long as you ship it to me. :D

Exactly how do you polish this kind of stuff, how much is the polish, and where would you find this stuff? Is it pretty easy to do or what?

I need my my intake, valve covers, and alternator polished. I either want to find someone that can do it around here or do it myself. Who does that kind of work anyways? Bodyshops????? Not sure what to look for in the phone book.
