i have a friend with a 2001 mustang gt with a 4.7 liter in it he has no converters and he just got glass packs where wondering if it would be louder or change the sound of it if they where like right behind or closer to the tips ir in a regular place where the mufflers where?

Install them where the mufflers(glasspacks) where originally equipped on the car. The sound will not really be effected if they are moved elsewhere.

Glass packs give off an awful sound in my opinion. Yeah its loud but its not a good loud. An American muscle car like a mustang should sound just like that, American muscle. A set of flowmasters with a catback system gives off an awsome sound, hell flows alone are great sounding. They'll give off a great tone and a good loud when getting on it. The glass packs are gonna do nothin but cackle and backfire. I cant stand when people have nice vehicles and put glass packs on them rather than a nice sounding exhaust system.
