why does Autolites come in 3 different plugs for the V6?

'99 - 764's
'00,'01 - 765's
'02,'03,'04 - 605's

what the hells the difference? Also, i thought the 764's were one heat range colder, for nitrous applications.

which ones are equivelent to the motorcraft 42c's?

Get the ones for your year car and if you are using nitrous go one range colder or just get Motorcraft like SpectorV said!!!!

There are some changes in programming and timing that play a part. Also the polution control of cars even though the same engine changes year to year. There are many varibles that could change plug requirements
