The 2010 would easily win. You must remember that a 13 second car back in the 60's was considered spectacularly quick. A 67/68 Stock GT 500 KR was a low-mid 14 second car, quick for the day, but not especially quick by modern standards.

Yet the new muscle cars will show the old ones their tail lights almost every time. Furthermore for a car to make it to 100k miles was very rare back in 1960's, today it's expected... It's called progress man.

The new one would certainly be faster in cornering.

The suspension on the 67 is pretty basic.

I have a 68 Mustang which has had suspension work done to improve it (shelby mod, lowered, sway bars, updated shocks, etc) - but my late model Ford sedan would still beat it for cornering.

Not in a straight line tho.

depends on a lot of things as we all know this to be true, gear ratios, 4 speed vs 5 or 6 speed, weight, etc... honestly i think the 67 would take it off the line till about 80 mph, then the 2010 would walk by it

The new mustang GT 500 has 540hp. It would rape the 67 shelby. There is no question. The 67 was probably pushing about 250hp by the new standard.
