I have a 2007 Mustang GT with Mac LT headers 1 3/4 and o/r x pipe and Borla exhaust JLT intake Sctx3 91 tune i get 16 miles per gallon which is scary already im not sure why is my mpg low but i want to put cams will this make my mpg worse than it is and please let me know why my car is wasting to much gas with the system i have already thanks

A high rpm cam will waste more gas at idle but deliver more power at high RPM, conversely a low RPM cam saves gas at low RPM but stunts power at high RPM. decide what you want and pay the penalty, gas or power.

Assuming you read somewhere about how a different cam will make your car soo much faster ??

C'mon... Logic should tell you that increased performance Certainly will cost you More Gas !!

A higher energy leve usually means a higher energy level

sure it will use more gas with a performance cam as it adds more fuel to the fire.
