classic mustangs do not make good daily drivers (to say nothing of insurance costs for teens) they lack practically all modern safety features, get lousy mileage (by modern standards), don't handle that well, and can require a lot of maintenance/upkeep w/ the perils of daily driving (as jeff said)
I mean it's mainly why a lot of people who do have classic mustangs don't use them as dailys either. (myself included)
If you do get it, it would probably be a better idea to have it as a project car and get some old/cheap beater as a daily instead. Also keep in mind that classic mustangs ARE NOT CHEAP TO FIX if any major work needs doing on them. So for a teen w/ a probable limited budget they're kind of a stetch.
