It is the same, the '97 Cobra's only put out 305 HP at the crank...

Actually I just looked it up, the '96 through '98 V8 Mustangs all used the Borg-Warner produced T-45 rated at 320 lb-ft maximum torque, the '99 through '01-1/2 used the Tremec sourced T-45 rated at 325 lb-ft--though not enough difference to matter even if it's true.

MGW does not make any distinctions for the B-W vs. Tremec T-45s, so I would believe it will fit. It is my understanding that when Tremec bought the T-45 tooling from B-W they just moved it all to Mexico and started making T-45's.
