Working with original blueprints, how long would it take to 3D design a full scale P-51 Mustang?

I know nothing about 3D design, but just interested in the approx design time. Assuming that 5-10 3D modelers/engineers were working on it and it would eventually be built and flown. However, it'd use a lot less parts and most likely different materials than the original aircraft. The original has like 24,000 or so parts but this would be cut in half.

A really good 3d modeler trained in boolean development. could take a set of prints on a P-51 and just about finish the engine in a week or two. the Airframe which is a wing under type could be layed out in about another week or two. this includes all the sectional stays and landing gear which is pretty complicated. If interference fits were available and were avoided it might take a little longer..the hydraulic system and electrical system would take about three to four days .the control panel and surface controls would take about another week. the engines with superchargers would take a few days longer. If the skin was wire-framed and a material table was used for the mass properties of the unit you might want to add another week or even two.. In 3D we draw full scale so parts weigh and occupy the correct spaces..Modeling is a great way to put a part into a life of its own ..its takes longer than conventional 2D orthographic pictures but the data is well worth the time. The model can be used to actually make the part because in a modelers mind the part that is seen is as real as the part on the shelf. So if someone had to really estimate the time to model out a P-51 with a hamilton standard prop It might take a guy 2 - 3 months ..Every nut and cotter pin and clip even a small piece can take a couple of days. the Spiral bevel compressor parts for the supercharger itself have a very unique mathematical rise and twist to them. Now if someone only wanted a picture well that's different ..That could be drawn in a couple of days...From the E
