X pipe sound of the exhaust

So this Sunday, I will be having my headers and off road x pipe installed on my 11 pony. Just wondering what too expect when it comes to loudness from the exhaust since my cats are coming off. Tonight I was with a subject who had an 04 Gt with headers and off road x pipe. His exhaust was so freaking loud and awesome. When he would accelerate the vehicle his exhaust was crazy loud and the car sounded so freaking aggressive. Now I'm not talking about the rumble of the engine but the sound of the exhaust. When I asked this 04 Gt owner the secret of his loud exhaust he said mainly its the removal of his cats. He said the actual exhaust pipes were nothing special and a cat back system but the flow was not much better than the newer mustangs design from the factory. He said the tone and loudness it's from his cats being removed. It sounded sick and awesome.

So here is my question, would a 11 5.0 with BBK Headers and off road x pipe along with Flowmaster Axle back exhaust
system be greatly louder than a 11 v6 with the same exact headers, off road x pipe and same Flowmaster axle back. Now I'm not talking about the rumble of the engine but the loudness of the exhaust when reving engine up or throttle wide open when accelerating. I have heard people say even on the v6 when you take the cats off, it very loud when accelerating.

I guess one wouldnt be louder than the other, but the tone will be alot different. Im not sure how to say this without turning it into a V8 vs V6 argument but a fire alarm and a rock concert are both loud, but only one of them sounds good. I think especially with an x pipe it will sound pretty raspy and higher pitched than the 5.0 would, but i also think V8s with x pipes are too raspy for my taste. I imagine you will see a little bit of power gain tho, long tube headers?
on a v8 the x pipe sounds the best imo. but on the v6's, they sound raspy and a bit annoying. alot of v6 owners dont feel the same and love how it sounds. it will be loud, but wont sound as good as the v8. the off road h pipe will also remove those cats, but give it a deeper tone than the x pipe . those sound better on the v6 imo.

Thanks bro. After thinking about more what this GT owner said, his car was set up on straight pipes (no mufflers), headers and off road x pipe. I thought it sounded awesome but that $hit was loud. But sounded awesome, at least to me. I don't have straight pipes, Flowmaster axle back. So it's not really the headers that make the cars exhaust sound louder but rather the off road x pipe because those cats come off and there goes the quiet sound. Lol
With that combo it is going to be obnoxious loud on a cold start and race car loud at WOT. It will also be raspy as hell. Getting rid of the cats on the newer 5.0s is where you will see the best HP gains. Some claim they see as much with just a off road mid pipe as they do with LTs and this is why you have a lot of people with just the off road mid pipe. I chose to do both (like you) but with Roush axle backs and the Roush are just to raspy for me.

So my neighbors down the street should here me coming with my little sixer with headers, off road x pipe and Flowmaster Axle back exhaust. Lol.
One of my friends ran his 02 GT with open long tube headers for a few days. He pulled into the gas station while i was there and i thought a train had derailed lol. Retarded loud. But i wouldnt recommend that for daily driving.

Yeah boy. Now that's what I'm talking about. That's a mustang baby.
