If you look into the side bumper in your car there will be arrows pointing up, those are the Jacks points. I think there is two on each side front and back.

Would it be OK to Jack it up by the k member so I can put the stands at the jack points on the side?

I wouldn't advice it I never use k member to Jack it up some people do but I don't.. If you look closely in the front fender there are 2 arrows I use one for jacking up the car and the other one for the stands. If your lowered which I am and I could never get the jack stands in there to fit, what I do is I slide a 1/2 inch plywood under my tire and problem solved. Hope this will help.

I will have to look for the arrows lol. But I will second the lowered. I roll up on a 2x4 but same principle. you will need to roll onto something to get a jack under if lowered

I use the cross member and then put jack stands where the subframe meets the body. You will not have any problems using the cross member. For the rear I use the axle housing.

If you got some sure. I was able to take the front clip off without the jack but it would be nice for future reference.

I used these two photos as guides when I jack up my car. I've also used the differential casing when needing to get the rear up higher, such as when I removed the extension tubes for stock exhaust - man what a pain that was because I couldn't get the car high enough at first.
