I come to believe when I bought my car that it has a chip in it. One reason that makes me lean towards that is because it pings like no tomorrow on 87 octane. But then again. I still have my speed limit governor and it wouldn't let me go past 115MPH. (Dont worry it was on an open road late at night with no traffic) Anyways. I was wondering if anyone would me able to let me know what a stock chip looks like and what an aftermarket one looks like. Im not sure if it would have the company name on it or whatever but if anyone could maybe find a pic of a stock chip and a pic of an aftermarket chip or atleast try and tell me some differences. I know the chip is located in the passenger kick panel. Is there a certain way to get access to that also? Thanks for any help!! :good:

If you will pull off your passenger kick panel and look at the computer you will be able to tell real fast.

If you have a chip, it will be sticking up from the top of the ecu. If you don't, there will still be a little plastic piece over the hole.

If you can't see it, disconnect your battery and take out the ecu to look at it.

It will be very clear cut if it has a chip or not.
