So I just got finished with the build of my car. I've had the engine out for a few weeks and it's finally done. I pulled the engine and left the trans in the car. Then I pulled the trans out afterwards to make it easier putting the engine in. Well the engine is in on the mounts and all good. But the transmission doesn't want to fit in the "tunnel" underneath the car. There is 2 tabs on the side of the trans that the wiring harness clips on to. It will fit once the trans is bolted up but the amount you have to have the transmission back to clear the input shaft on the pressure plate, doesn't allow the tabs to clear the tunnel underneath the car. I've heard you have to put the transmission in turned 45 degrees to clear then turn it back once it's half on the engine. Has anyone else had this problem?
