Might have to let go of Sally if I can't find one soon
Yea my choice before the military was a sherif but that door closed it's just not possible for me right now and ice always had a dire for the military and me snd my buddy are going in using the buddy program we both have the same goals in life growing up in the same neighborhood so I'm hoping I can serve my minimum if 4 years with him and if I like it I will serve more idk about himPete08GT said:You will need a degree also...college is important.
Cops are trained to keep the peace...not what seals and svcc do. But you also need to follow your passion... You could very well be the right man for that type of life...just be smart and informed. Have a plan.
The buddy system doesn't work. Recruiters and MEPS cannot guarantee you will be at the same place...maybe in basic training but that's it. Your recruiter is trying to fill a quota...that's his number one goal. Ask him to show you in writing everything he is talking about. If it's true, there will be something official.Drodriguez2009 said:Yea my choice before the military was a sherif but that door closed it's just not possible for me right now and ice always had a dire for the military and me snd my buddy are going in using the buddy program we both have the same goals in life growing up in the same neighborhood so I'm hoping I can serve my minimum if 4 years with him and if I like it I will serve more idk about him
I don't know, something about acting like a used car sales man to get humans to join the military.... sounds wrong to me. If the military is built off integrity and trust of your fellow service man, getting lied to by a recruiter so he can get his quota of humans in the military is a pretty bad way to start.Pete08GT said:The buddy system doesn't work. You are being "step" sold. It's an effective tactic in sales. Nothing wrong with that...just make sure you verify everything you are told. If you want to be a cop later on, you can do almost anything on the military.
Ya the Recruter said it's not a 4 sure but our jobs and performance can separate us I'm thankful for a honest Recruter everything he has told me I have looked intoBrent said:I don't know, something about acting like a used car sales man to get humans to join the military.... sounds wrong to me. That is good. I know I have heard some pretty bad stories from people dealing with recruiters.Ya the Recruter said it's not a 4 sure but our jobs and performance can separate us I'm thankful for a honest Recruter everything he has told me I have looked into

Thank you for serving! They are you know...a national treasure. Sounds like you got a decent recruiter. Good luck to you and thank you for serving!
Someone has told me that before not sure who? But yea I'm taking it I'm trying to oath asapPete08GT said:Last piece of advice....don't wait too long. Things have a way of happening if you wait too long. I saw lots of good folks get disqualified waiting to enlist. Quick ship and start your journey ASAP! If you have to wait for the job you want, then do so...but don't put off leaving if you don't have to.
Cool I take my ASVAAB the 27 and I'm hoping to oath shortly after!Pete08GT said:Just wondering how the process is going...keep us updated.
