Naples that does sound good man! I just CAN'T look at my exhaust coming THAT MUCH out from my bumber!! That sticks out like 5-6in! I need something a lil more flush with the back end.. visual is mental for me! LOL I can have it if I don't enjoy the looks of it.. to each their own tho, sounds GREAT tho bro!

Im in the same boat with my Roush's. They stick out just a little further than I would like. I want them to show a little bit which is why I got the powder coated tips, but if I could get them back just a little further it would be perfect. I thought I go them back as far as I could, but now with all of this talk Im thinking about loosening the clamps to see if I can get them any further. Dang forum... :)
 
This thread made me push the tips as far back as I could and they still stick out about 2". My wife asked me what I was doing in the garage so late at night. Lol... Told her I was taking out the trash. :p

American Racing longtubes,Off road X and GT500's. Perfect. For those of you who have Roush ABs be careful when adding a off road mid pipe. It makes the roush sound like garbage. It was way to much rasp for me and sounded like a beat up 1980s chevy pick up.
 
Y'all are cracking me up!! LOL That's something I would've done too, I'd spent all night in the garage until I made it work! Haha I ended up cutting the exhaust I put on my 06 mustang to make it fit right.. they were WAY off and Mac made em with a knob that I had to sand wheel off just to get them on.. Hey u do what ya gotta do for your stang baby!

Borla ataks. Talk about making your presence known. It turns heads when ur driving slowly in a parking lot and it definitely turns heads at WOT on the road. Best part is no drone and absolutely quiet when cruising.

Frpp sports are great too. They sound deep and rumbly. It sounds muscular and composed at all engine speeds. Also has no drone at any speed and sounds great with no resonators.

You should check out the classifieds, you can prolly get a good deal on a set.

You won't regret it.
 
I've got the 3" magnaflow quad tip catback

I like the low grumble at idle, deep rumble cruising at 2k rpm and the loud scream at WOT. also like that the axle back part is painted black
 
I have the borla s type cat back exhaust. I have to say it's the loudest exhaust out, I've listened to get 500s and the atak but I still think the s type is louder then then all. Perfect sound at low and high rpms. I just ordered American racing headers and off road x pipe so I can't wait to see how loud it gets. When it comes to exhausts you really do get what you pay for. I wouldn't trade for any other exhaust
 
Lots of guys mention the stick out factor. Just to satisfy my curiosity this is only a looks thing right? I mean it doesnt affect performance? Because I want them to stick out some but understand that is all opinion. Performance is unchanged correct? Because I can't come up with why it would affect it.
 
Um, yeah. The pipe's the same length whether it sticks out or not. It wouldn't have any effect if you changed the length by an inch or two anyway. The only place that matters is up at the header.

Your exhaust isn't my thing, sound-wise. It's way too uncontrolled, blatty and I can't imagine how loud this must be under full load. However, as long as you like it, that's all that matters.
 
The Ataks for the 12-13s fit flush with rear bumper. The 11-12 Ataks put on a 12-13 will protrude about an inch more. Strictly cosmetic, as u have heard. Purchased them by mistake, and decided to keep them. Stage 3 Motorsports advertises these for 11-14, which is kinda true....
