Alright so I've been noticing a slight rattle noise coming from directly under my stick shifter. What could it possibly be? When I say under I mean I've put my head up against it.. lol.. its about 8 inches under my shifting base. Really starting to piss me off. Just wanna know if its something easy or what a possible prognosis may be

it could be the exhaust heat shielding thats under there bc my car does it too and when i was replacing my clutch i was looking at everything in that general vicinity and all i could find were loose heat shields

Something else it may be... The exhaust has 2 hangers connected to the transmission crossmember. There is a Ford Service Bulletin noting how the hanger pegs (attached to exhaust) can rattle off the crossmember. Ford says to remove the black rubber hanger from the crossmember and bend the hanging pegs down away from the crossmember as they aren't needed.... they are there to help with assembly at the factory.
