Where did you get a cobra R axle? Do you mean just cobra? Either way it will fit, it uses 28 spline axles just like the gt and lx but i know the 93 cobra axles are 3/4" longer than the gt and lx axles. Not sure if the cobra r was longer too but i bet it is. Also the cobra r is 5 lug and the cobra is 4 like the gt and lx

 

Yeah that's the reason why I wanted the axle off of the cobra r cause I want to do the 5 lug conversion and I just thought it would be better to do the whole axle and yeah my uncle has the cobra r but it has a blown motor an said he would part it out to me I might just be the whole car off him=)

 

Well all I know that it is red he lives a couple hours away so I haven't really seen the car that is just what he said haha I hope it is the cobra r!

 

Don't get ur hopes up there extremely rare and if u get the car plz just fix it and keep it original

There were only a few over 100 built. 107 i believe. I highly doubt it is a cobra r, no one on the planet is going to part out a cobra r, they are selling for $60k+ and are only going up. Check the vin #. The R is basically a stripped down version of the regular cobra. No ac, no stereo, 4 wheel disc brakes and i believe they came with sub frame connectors. I dont think they had rear seats either.

 

Regular cobras had the rear disk breaks so it is most likely a cobra not a cobra R
